This is how hard Life @ Lotusphere is (Karoona's words but Brian's message)

Tomorrow is going to be the 4th day since Brian and I landed. 4 days, that's 96 hours and we have not had any time at all to go shopping. Not that we are complaining, but the closest experience we have had of shopping so far was the far away massive mall we had a fleeting glimpse of through the window of the car that carried us straight from the airport to the hotel.

4 days in. No shopping. My dollar notes reside unspent, untouched, neatly folded in my purse. Dreadfully painful as you can imagine this is, I'm however amongst the least badly hit. Poor Brian brought with him only 3 watches. Tomorrow is Day 4. He only has 3 watches. Is the fashionista going to have to completely shatter his belief system and wear the same watch twice in 4 days??

This is how hard Life @ Lotusphere is. Our heart goes out to all of those people who are stranded in the desert without any water for days. We know how you feel.

You are better off saving those $ exchange rate is still falling ;-)
Oh and can you hear that sound....its the sound of the smallest violin in the world, let me compare, temp now is -1 here, or where you are it will be about 16 during the day. Checking now, your overnight temp is warmer than 10am here ;-)

Thanks for saving me writing that post Karoona!

You are fortunate in that you brought enough shoes with you to get you through to the weekend - so you don't have to make the same sacrifice! :-)

Mat - believe it or not, but I think the temperature in the conference center is -1 during the day. We don't know what the temperature is outside during the day... on the positive side (and much to the relief of my co-bloggers) the shorts remain unworn!

... and for anyone that is wondering, today I stole the words from one of the presenters and "broke the paradigm" by ... NOT WEARING A WATCH

You are now up to date! :-)

A true fashionista never breaks his values indeed!

But shorts!! I have to ask, are they mini or maxi? Just so your co-bloggers know exactly how much relief they need to thank the skies for ;)

Nice Try peeps. As a Lotusphere veteran (yes I'm jealous) I know the real score. The days are long, the chairs are not as soft as they look and the trek from the Swan to the Dolphin to the blah is a grind.

BUT ! it's January and it Florida, must be horrific to be that warm. The Lotusphere party is usually pretty good (Wed night as I remember). Even if IBM can't find a decent venue at least you can sort something yourselves. Univeral Islands of Adventure or SeaWorld are pretty good starting points !

Looking forward to your explainations why Slough is so much better ;-)
